Welcome to Leonor's world, where coffee, music, and compassion converge. Leonor's remarkable journey began at the prestigious Julliard School of Music in Manhattan, where her passion for classical piano flourished under the guidance of renowned instructors. As intense as her dedication to music is, her love for coffee is equally profound. Leonor's devotion to these two art forms has shaped her unique perspective on life and business.

In 2015, Leonor wholeheartedly embraced the world of coffee, embarking on a transformative adventure of discovery, education, and sensory exploration. With unwavering determination, she immersed herself in industry trends, formed invaluable friendships, and cultivated an unyielding commitment to excellence. Today, alongside her business partner and fellow musician, Nina Rodriguez, Leonor owns and operates Barista Kats, a haven for coffee enthusiasts seeking exceptional experiences.
At Barista Kats, we believe in the power of open-mindedness, attentiveness to customer preferences, and the art of active listening. Drawing from our innate musical skills, we collaborate harmoniously as a team, creating a sustainable business that thrives on unity. Nina travels the United States facilitating and performing with Drum Cafe North America and Drum Cafe USA and her recent collaboration of Nina & The Gypsies. Nina is a sought after session musician, as well as a certified facilitator of rhythm Interactive events. Her clients include fortune 1,000 Companies like Microsoft, Google, PWC and Amazon along with several educational organizations. Nina celebrates the endorsements of Toca Percussion and LP MUSIC instruments.

We are proud to hail from the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas, known for its rich history, including the Spanish missions and the legendary Battle of the Alamo.
Our vibrant city also boasts the scenic Riverwalk and the renowned San Antonio Spurs basketball team. Located near the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, a central hub for conventions.
Leonor's passion extends beyond the world of coffee and music. She is a fervent animal lover, cherishing the bond between humans and their furry friends. In particular, Leonor's heart belongs to Lola, her beloved potbellied pig. Falling in love with a tiny piglet, Leonor was told Lola would remain a "Mini Pig," weighing no more than 45 lbs. However, over the years, Lola has grown to a hefty 150 lbs, becoming an integral part of the family.
Witnessing the unfortunate abandonment of pigs due to similar misconceptions, Leonor founded Non-Profit Operation Lola during the pandemic. This organization is dedicated to rescuing and providing sanctuary for abused and discarded small livestock animals. Given the pressing need for care and support, our primary focus has been on pigs. Your support can make a meaningful impact on the preservation, rescuing, and re-homing of these precious animals.
